Happening this Week
Clean Up vs Generative AI. You can now remove items from your images right in your iPhone. A la Generative AI. Some say it’s even better. You’ll need that latest iOS update on your iPhone to use it. See a demo here.
Canon comes out swinging. This week Canon announce a bunch of amazing new lens options. Spefically relevant for wedding photographers will be the new 24mm and 50mm 1.4 RF options. Lining up perfectly with the current 35mm 1.4. All three lenses are the same size, weight and quality. Jump into this video here for a quick and informative round up of the lenses.
Embarrassing moments. We’ve all been there while photographing weddings. But have you been here?! This discussion thread dives into some wildly embarrassing stories from photographers at weddings. Actual LOL.
Way Up North Berlin. Just one of the best wedding photographers conferences around. There are just a few tickets left for the Berlin edition next April 1+2.
New Macbooks from Apple. This week Apple unveiled their new Macbook lineup, of course, more powerful than EVER BEFORE. Relevant for photographers will be the new minimum RAM size of 24GB - insane. Great time to nab an older model, or jump into one of these new ones.
Apple is back in photography software. Adobe might need to keep holding on tight, as Apple announced they have purchased photo editing software company Pixelmator. It’s a big deal. Pixelmator is a powerful photo editing tool and this could be the beginning of something very cool in Apple’s ecosystem.
Sony’s 28-70 f2 Leak. We reported that Sony will announce their new 28-70 f2 lens on the 19th of November. EXCITING. A few images have in the meantime leaked. It’s still big, but apparently 500g lighter than the Canon version. See images here.

Is there a photographer out there who loves the family photos?
We could be wrong, but we’d say most wedding photographers don’t. Family photos, stand in a line and say cheese, are something we feel like we have to do. It’s an INCONVIENCE, taking up our time when we could be doing something creative, interesting, something no one else could do (what we were hired for right?)…
