NEWS
Happening this Week
Instagram Pro Features. This week Instagram announced ‘Meta One’ - a new subscription that gives users pro controls like scheduling (including stories WHAT), adding links, grid preview, batch uploading. Full details here.
Pretty Camera Bags. These photographers couldn’t find any camera bags that suited their style. So they made their own.
The cutest Instax yet. Fujifilm just released the Instax Pal 2. Super tiny, super cute, and full of ‘lo-fi’ effects. Give them to wedding guests?
Canon goes kinda retro with a full new camera design. This week the Canon R8 mkii - the cheapest and most underrated full frame camera from Canon - showed off a retro inspired body shape. Although some think it’s just a Sony copy. Be warned however - it’s a one card slot kind of deal here however.
Wolves lineup. The full speaker line up for the iconic Wolves Workshop in the Canary Island was finally released. Hint - it’s good.
Chilling during the Dancing? This podcast dives into a controversial situation bought up this week where a videographer team decided to ‘chill’ for a bit during their 4 hours of dancing coverage at the end of a wedding day. The planner was NOT happy. What’s your take?
Finally Aperture Control. Examples here of the new iPhone 18 Pro’s aperture control. Does it really make such a difference it makes on such a small sensor?
Pic-Time x Lensel. We’ve teamed up with Pic-Time and put together a very nice Pic-Time deal, along with a few Lensel goodies thrown in. See the deal and try out Pic-Time’s news features here.
THE BIG IDEA
⚫️ Don’t Break Your Brand: Why you need to make Custom Online Galleries

Images: sarahtonkinphotography and pictime_us
Congrats.
You’re just like those runners who celebrated too early before the finish line…
You hooked in your clients with your beautiful visual world. Your images, website and branding. You showed up on the wedding with your sparkling personality, charmed the parents and made incredible, once in a lifetime photos.
5 stars all the way.
But then… you sent the final images.
And what SHOULD have felt like the climax of the entire experience of your photo business felt more like a lame admin task.
You sent a usb, a dropbox link, or some kind of templated online gallery that looks the same as everyone else.
Sorry. You just broke your brand.

Delivery is the real climax of your wedding photography service. The pinnacle and final hurrah. It’s the actual experience your client gets of that 5, 10, 50 thousand they paid you.
That is not the time for your brand to disappear.
So today is a big nudge. Stop sending generic galleries.

Match your brand with custom fonts, colours, layouts and options in Pic-Time
Here is some good news.
Pic-Time has been making big moves. Building a gallery delivery experience that gives you far more control over how your work is presented.
You can now customize SO MUCH it’s like making your custom online magazine to deliver your photos in. What a win.
Here’s just a few things you can do:
Literally use the same custom fonts as your website ⬇️

Customise ALL the colours everywhere to make it look like your WORLD ⬇️

You can even change up these colours, fonts, and layouts for individual galleries. Matching the vibe of each wedding.
A minimal vibed wedding? Nice. You can do that.
Busy and colourful - you can do that too.

It’s new tools at your fingertips to allow you to deliver your images inside your visual world. PREACH.

Use a highlights gallery to give the best first impression possible + design it differently to the rest of the gallery to stand out.
A Last Word on First Impressions.
Sometimes the first getting ready shots might not quite cut it for a first impression. You want to curate a hero/highlights section at the top of the gallery to nail those first few seconds.
In Pic-Time, you can create a highlights section that looks completely different from the rest of the gallery.
Change the image spacing. Or move the grids around. Introduce new background colours. And show off the best, most representative photos of the day in your unique way.
It can get very editorial, very quick.
So go try all the new options that Pic-Time gives you to deliver unique galleries and standout from the rest.
We partnered up with Pic-Time to give you an extra free month when you sign up, plus a few Lensel goodies including an exclusive discount to our Lensel Membership.
WEDDING FEATURE
Concrete, Cacti and Desert Light: A Mexico Wedding by Lukas Korynta
This full wedding is featured on lensel.com from the photographers POV. Get the low down on the gear, planning and stories that went into shooting this wedding day.
We absolutely LOVE the perspective and attitude Lukas bought to this wedding. A lesson for so many photographers in there… Dive into the feature to read about it.

“After the welcome night I sat by the pool in my hotel with my feet under water and thought to myself ‘this is it, this is as fun as being a wedding photographer can be.’ I knew it will be a great wedding, even the welcome night had an incredible energy, the location was stunning, the couple was so in love with each other and all of their friends and they were so thankful for me being there which felt great. A dream situation for any photographer.”

INSPO TO KEEP YOU FRESH
⬇️ Danilo & Sharon on a hot street - capturing this ceremony and entrance from so many different angles - it NEEDS to be studied. Multiple drones 101.
⬇️ Sometimes all you really need is some pretty back light and a little added wind for the drama.
⬇️ Ever feel like it’s just you? YEAH - creativity & anxiety do go hand in hand and we are sure a few people need to hear this one today.
⬇️ The curation in this post around color and mirroring is absolutely GENIUS. Zonzo did it again.
⬇️ Ohhh that ATMOSPHERE. Can we bring it back? This shoot is atmosphere and feeling first in the best way.
