Yashica thinks the people want a tiny camera sensor?
All the news and inspo from the week
Let’s jump in 👇
NEWS
Happening this Week
Mini Flashes. Our favourite value focussed flash maker Godox is on a roll and has released three new ‘mini’ flashes this week. The ‘iFlash’. Lightweight, affordable and compact, they’ll make no one nervous.
More precious editing seconds. Imagen AI announced a new background mask feature to save you another few seconds per photo. Simply tick the feature when running your images through Imagen and you’ll have a background layer mask applied to every image. The tiny things add up.
Film Prices take effect. Late last year Kodak announced a raft of pricing changes that take effect this month. Many black and white stocks are getting MUCH cheaper, while a few colour favs are increasing around 10%. Click here to see details.
Double booking situation. Jump into this discussion about how to deal with accidentally booking the same date twice. PS a lot of bad advice in here, as well as some good.
Yashica. A name you may only associate with older film cameras has recently released a bunch of new point and shoot cameras, called the “City Series”. Equiped with tiny sensors smaller than a iPhone 16 for the that low-fi, digicam look. Riding on that trend right?
DJI Drone Rumours. If you have recently crashed your drone (everyone has right?) and need to get a new one soon, perhaps hold off until the new Mavic 4 gets released. It’s looking like a big step up from previous models with a new 100MP 4/3 sensor and super long flight time. (PS it looks like it will a be March/April 2025 release)
A better photographers belt. Let’s be honest, most photographers gear looks dorky. This is the opposite. Practical too. It’s the belt every photographer should check out in 2025. See the UNCOMMON SENSE belt here.
